HoYoverse plans to release Petit Planet on Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027. Its November 1, 2026 announcement says it revealed the console version during a launch-preview program.
PC, iOS and Android players have an earlier launch date. HoYoverse plans to release those versions on December 4, 2026. Players can download them in advance from December 1.
Petit Planet on Switch 2 remains in development
HoYoverse said it was still working on the console version. It plans to share gameplay footage and more details. However, the announcement gives only a year, with no exact Switch 2 launch date.
The company describes a game in which players develop their own planet. For example, they can grow crops, fish and make furniture. The planet’s terrain and ecosystem also change over time, according to the announcement.
Official previews show a game still taking shape
The game’s official website says its previews show work in progress, rather than final quality. It also introduces Yunguo, a character who tends crops, as part of the farming theme.
The site also lists rewards for signing up early, including the Bestie Star-Light and Sproutling Outfit. However, these previews do not show how well the Switch 2 version will run.
HoYoverse said it would share more Switch 2 news through its official social accounts. Meanwhile, its November 1 announcement sets another launch-preview broadcast for December 3, ahead of the PC and mobile release.
